Who Are We?

Our chaplain outreach began in 2007 when former youth pastor Brent Bettmann saw a need for outreach to the track community. Brent was soon joined by two other men who had a similar passion for both people and motor sports. The team added a fourth member in 2008 and also became affiliated with the Motor Racing Outreach Association. The MROA is under the umbrella of Motor Racing Outreach, who has been providing chaplain support to the NASCAR community since 1998. In 2013 the team also joined the National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries. The joint affiliation with these two nationally recognized track ministry organizations provides our CNS chaplain team with valuable training and resources that equip us to serve the local racing community.

Our track community is Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, Colorado. Located about a half hour north of Denver, CNS is a 3/8 mile paved oval that provides some of the most action packed weekly racing in the Rocky Mountain area. As a NASCAR sanctioned track and part of the Whelen All American Series CNS sees over 10 divisions and 200 race teams participate in what NASCAR has called some of the most competitive local racing to be found anywhere in the country. We would like to thank track owners Jim & Sue Nordhaugen and their staff for allowing us to be a part of this incredible community of people!
